Fullerton College Theater Arts Department Virtually Hosts High School Drama Festival

Fullerton College Theater Arts Department has announced that the High School Theater Festival will be held virtually this year. Due to Covid-19, they decided it would be best to keep a safe distance.

Things will be a little different this year, but the university still wants high school students to have the opportunity to perform and present their work!

From November 9, 2020 to January 15, 2021, secondary school teachers apply online and receive a username and password to register students in the performance and design categories before January 29, 2021.

Students may participate in a maximum of two (2) performance categories and one (1) design category. Once approved, student performers will record their scene (s) and submit them. Design students will submit all required design documents and images. Submissions will be accepted until 11:59 PM on Friday March 5, 2021. Please send all submissions to [email protected]

Please see the Video Guidelines page for more information on recording and sending video performances.

The workshops will take place online on Saturday March 27, 2021 (times to be determined).

After the ranking of the results on March 27, 2021, the prizes will be awarded (1st to 5th place) to the winners in the Performance categories and (1st to 3rd place) in the Design categories during a virtual awards ceremony at 2 p.m.

Submissions should be sent by 11:59 p.m. on March 5. For more information on registration, please contact Alex Eastman at [email protected] or (714) 992-7186.
