ITV The Games star Kevin Clifton found stardom as a professional dancer on BBC Strictly Come Dancing. He was affectionately known as “Kevin from Grimsby” on the show and lifted the Glitter Ball trophy with presenter Stacey Dooley.
He left Strictly in 2020 saying he wanted to focus on “other areas of his career”. He had been on the show since 2013 and made it to nearly every final.
Kevin is the brother of fellow Strictly pro Joanne Clifton. Joanne won the show with Ore Oduba in 2018 before leaving the show later that year.

The former Strictly pro’s wealth comes from appearances on different TV shows. After Strictly, he was to join the West End scene in Strictly Ballroom.
At the time, he told HuffPost, “I was ready to move into Strictly Ballroom, which was supposed to open in September. To be honest, that was the main reason I made the decision to leave Strictly Come. Dancing.
“I always dreamed of playing this role in Strictly Ballroom.”

Kevin’s career was put on hold when theaters and non-essentials closed during the national Covid-19 lockdown. At the time, he confirmed his romance with former Strictly dance partner Stacey.
He is currently appearing on stage in the production of Singin’ in the Rain at London Well’s Theatre. Kevin starred as Cosmo Brown in the theatrical production – played by Donald O’Connor in the film.
Speaking to Loose Women about the role, Kevin said: “I’ve seen Singin’ in the Rain hundreds of times. It’s one of the most, if not the most, iconic musicals in history. film history.
“Stacey told me they should do a show from that movie. I told her it was a big deal and a huge show, but she told me when they would do the show again , I should play the role of Cosmo,” he said. added. “I told him I would love it because the character plays such an iconic role.”
“I went to audition, I wasn’t sure what direction it would take. Stacey believed in me that I would get the part and here I am ready to play Cosmo,” he added.
